About this place

Overview
Chisos Basin Campground is an official Big Bend National Park campground set at 5,400 feet in open woodland within the Chisos mountain basin. Stella does not assign a campground-specific Bortle class without measured provenance.
Horizon
The campground sits within a mountain basin with views toward Casa Grande, Emory Peak, and the Window, so surrounding ridgelines constrain the lowest sky while leaving broad overhead views.
